I’m not a massive gamer. For the last however many years, we’ve only had Nintendo consoles in our house, which is the mark of someone who’s clearly not a gamer at all.
But over the course of the last however many years, one game has managed to make it on to every console we’ve had. From N64 to Wii, GameCube to DS, we’ve always had MarioKart.
And with good reason.
MarioKart is an easy game to play. It’s easy to get the hang of. But it is really, really fun. Whether you’re throwing bombs behind you to knock your sister off course or pulling the controller cord out of the GameCube because you know you’re going to lose, MarioKart has provided hours and hours of fun for me. Plus it’s one thing I’m better at than Alex is.
