My First YALC

KTQ3DgZkI don’t often post this late any more – I try to get my musings up during the day, since they’re not generally time specific, but today’s post is coming to you out of excitement about tomorrow.

I’m going to my first ever convention in the morning – YALC, the Young Adult literature convention – and I am excited!

Three days of author talks, publishers stands, bookish merchandise and publishing chat are going to be an amazing experience. I have my bag packed, my phone charged, my duck secreted away – and snacks and water thrown in for good measure.

I’ll be instagramming and twittering as long as my battery lasts (unless I accidentally kill it with Pokemon first) and if you’re around, hit me up so we can nerd out about books and fandom together!

PS – I’m going to YALC thanks to the generosity and general loveliness of Irish author Claire Hennessy. She’s only lovely and deadly. 🙌 🙌
